I have extreme anger and aggression problems?

I'm 21 and I've had problems with anger and rage for many years but they're only getting worse. It's to the point where my anger runs my life, and my days are far from being as productive as they need to be. I'm in college and my grades suffer because of it, as does my social life which really doesn't exist. I've seen several therapists since I was 15 but it hasn't helped at all. I don't know if its my fault or theirs but no good has come from it. The worst part is that nearly every little thing that goes wrong or not how I want it to sets me off. I get a very intense feeling throughout my body and my legs and arms essentially go numb. I feel a very strong urge to hit someone or something (I usually end up punching a wall) and it will not go away until I release my frustration physically. I try riding it out but the feeling only intensifies until I start to feel a sense of panic and usually have to curl up in a ball until the feeling subsides (don't know why but it helps dull the feelings). I also live with a dog and although I don't hit him or yell at him I feel bad that he has to live around such a stressed and frustrated person since I know he must pick up on those feelings. My life has come to a standstill because of these feelings that won't go away. Any suggestions? I'm sure I've tried everything from medication to counting to yoga but maybe there's something I haven't tried.

So i just bought a 3 year old quarter horse / paint gelding. He's only about 14.1. I'll start with his story, so there is this girl she's about 25 and she had a baby, right after her mare had this foal, so she gave him to her cousin to take care of and to train, her cousin is 13, and has only been with horses for a year, has no idea how to train a horse.. So he was just sitting in the field at her cousins house(25 year old) who did I mention has no running water or hydro? So anyways she started working with the horse but then she got pregnant again. So clearly this baby horse has been sitting in his field, sorry his 20 ft x 20 ft hole with NO grass and he is up to his knees in mud. He's never seen another horse except his mother, who died when he was about 1 and a half. So the girl that owned him before she gave him to her cousin, was convincing me not to buy him and she said she was going to work with him . The thing is she has no idea how to train a horse. You do not state how long you have had the new puppy. Some dogs just take time to adjust. Dogs do not know equal. It is not in their genetic make up. One will be alpha over the other. Dont force it on the older dog to like the new pup. I would take a few walks a day with both of them. I think it will be fine over time but you need to let happen on their terms. In the mean time just stay with your normal routine that you have had. Dogs are creatures of habit.

i have a male PitBull that is a year old and will be 2 in September. He seems to be having aggression problems with people and other dogs especially males but that is usual for male dogs to do. He tried to bite an older man and only caught his Jeans but his collar caught his leg and tore the skin (he has a spikey training volor that kinda pokes his neck when he pulls) but he told the officer that that was a bite mark. He was put under a 10 day quarintine, got his rabies shots (we would ahve gotten them sooner but didnt have the money for it and are still making payments on it) and is also registered with the police department. Ever since that day my dog thinks its ok to try and bite other people (i have no idea what made him want to bite that man the only way he would go after someone is if they went after me) and trys to go after every dog he sees although he is just fine with puppies and of course females. If i cant find a way to deal with his behavior problem soon i may be forced to get rid of him and my dog is my best friend and i dont want to lose him. :'( i have tried emailing dog trainers but sadly they seem to be a bit worried about money which we just dont have at the time or they dont email me back so im not sure what i can do for my buddy.

This is a complex question, and I have found that some dogs, just can not be left off lead. Unfortunetly some dogs are just aggresive by nature. Is he neutured? What type of breed? It seems that his instinc is too strong to listen to you when called. He is obviously fixated on the other dogs. Usually male dogs that are dominant and unneutured, do challenge other male dogs. I would really stick with on the lead training for a while, and if he is not responding to you, you will have to make peace with the fact that he is just one of those dogs that need to be kept on a lead at all times. It is not a bad thing at all though. Also, give yourself some time. He is still new in your family, and probably unsure of how to react to your commands at this stage.

Dropped needle into machine. help....plz.... =(?

What is the best way to build muscle in my arms and chest (especially arms) When I do more sets of 12-15 with lighter weight, I feel my muscles tiring but Im not seeing results. When I do 6-8 sets with heavier weight, my muscles arent getting tired, they just arent capable of lifting anymore. Why does my dog growl at one person only?

I adopted a Lab mix about a month and a half ago. He is very sweet and loves everyone...except for my brother. My brother doesn't live with us, but he comes to visit often. My dog liked my brother for weeks. Then about two weeks ago my brother showed up and the dow growled at him for a short while and then ignored him. The next day he came over and the dog was very happy to see him. Then he walked out the door and a few minutes later, while I was feeding him my brother came back through the door and he started growling and barking at him. I figured he was food aggressive although he shows no aggression over his food with myself or my parents. A week later my brother came over again and the dog was growling at him. I told him "no" and he stopped but acted afraid of him. He took treats nicely from my brother but still seemed fearful. I fed him while my brother was here and he ate his food quietly. I don't know why this started all of a sudden. My brother has done nothing but pet the dog and tell him he's a good boy. Will a dog suddenly associate a person (after several weeks) with someone else who may have hurt him in the past? Or could it be the fact that my brother comes over with the scent of two or three different dogs on him? And how do I get him to stop this or not be afraid of him.

Dog aggression problem?

I have a 2 year old mixed breed (german shepard, pittbull, black lab, blue heeler) female dog who is in heat, going on the 4th week. She is normally very gentle but during this heat (I have 2 other dogs, a female and male) has been aggressive, its always towards the other female, not the male, these are dogs that have always got along. The aggression usually happens when Im putting the female in heat into her crate, or, if she is allowed near the other female while the other female is in her own crate (I put them in crates when I leave the house for awhile.) The female in heat is much smaller than the female but we've had 2 instances where she has attacked our other female. The first time it happened I was right there and tryed to pull the one in heat away (the aggressor) and I got bit. We have talked with our vet and do plan on having her spayed after this heat, but, I have actually become afraid of her, and feel as if Im walking on eggshells around the house, Im also afraid for my other female dog. Im just wanting to get opinions on this if you think this may now have become a habit for her, acting aggressively, or if it may be remedied by getting spayed? Thank you for your time.

How do you make a pillow pet soft again?

My friend brought two pillow pets to my house. One big one small. They are both pigs. She put them on the ground and then accidentally spilled lemonade on them. We didnt want them to get crusty so we put them in a pillow case, safty pinned it shut and put it in the wash. We dried them too. When we were done drying them though, the fur was curly and they weren't very soft. Brushing them took the curls away but they still arent soft. how do you make them soft??

How Do I Handle 11-Month Old Chihuahua Aggression?

I have been very consistent in training my chihuahua, who is now currently 11 months old and 9 lbs. He has been with me since 12-weeks and was neutered as a young puppy as he had started to exhibit certain behaviours (humping objects, etc) that led it to be advised. He is crate trained, potty trained, social and friendly in the dog park, but has exhibited aggressive behaviours from time to time. He is not allowed on the furniture, is made to wait for humans to enter doors first, and must sit or do other tricks to be rewarded or served his food. However, his aggression has been most seen around food, guarding his crate, guarding me, or when people pet him. Before, he would always want attention from others, but now he will be comfortable receiving a pet but then suddenly turns and snaps, warding off whoever is petting him. My boyfriend, who lives with us, is the most frequent victim. This past weekend, after getting picked up from the train station, I was sitting with my mother and the dog in the back seat of the car. She was petting and he suddenly tensed up and tried to bite her. Prior, he had always been very calm and well behaved in the car. On another occasion, while sitting on my boyfriend's lap in the car, my boyfriend was holding him and moved his hands slightly and the dog began to growl. I'd don't know if this is fear based or territorial. But the behaviour is very fickle and changes quickly. He will be accepting one minute, then suddenly tense and upset. He has been examined recently with a good bill of health. This behaviour is never exhibited towards me. After he lashes out, he instantly gets embarrassed, will lower his head in submission, and know that he has done something wrong. But he will still possibly lash out if anyone is in his space. I'm worried as this behaviour is new, as in the past few weeks, and I want to nip it in the bud. In regards to his aggression in the crate, I've had my boyfriend casually drop treats into the crate when the dog is resting inside, and speaking kindly to him. This is slowly improving and he is more accepting of people's presence near his crate. However, the other moments when he snaps are concerning me. If anyone has any advice-- please let me know. I have also been seeing a behaviorist to assist, but wanted to gather additional feedback.

Start at the very beginning and teaching respect. You really cannot move forward doing anything until you have this. That means you will probably butt heads. I got my gelding when he was 2--about the same thing. Not mean, but very spoiled and pushy.. Be.FIRM and CONSISTENT. Make sure that your requests and Ques are clear and precise and the same each and every time. Be firm, not cruel, but make sure he understand that YOU are the boss and he will do as asked or there is a consequence. Break things down very small and work your way up and make sure and praise and praise whenever something is done as you asked for it immediately. Once you have the respect and trust that will be needed--then move forward from there. If you get to a point where you are again butting heads (and you will) break it down again to smaller request-quicker success. What I have found with dealing with different animals is that they all mature totally different paces-just like people do. You can overwhelm a less mature horse VERY QUICKLY (this was my guy-and sounds like your fella too) and you can have to just slow it down and take is in smaller steps. A more mature animal can take things at a much quicker pace. So take your time.

I'm having a natural birth which means I will be home with the baby a few hours after giving birth (assuming all goes well). What does my kitten mean when she does this?

So, I adopted a three month old kitten from the streets. We have a great relationship and all, she rarely bites now and sleeps with me at night either curled up at my neck or on my stomach purring, and kneads my arm all the time. Is this baby acne or something different?

I cant post a pic because my battery is dead but I can describe it. First off it is only on his face....not his body. He does have a dry scalp sometimes but his scalp isnt my worry. His "acne" covers his face and wrinkles his ears. They are lil red spots and some have white dots in the middle. They arent inverted at all. When I wipe his face with a facecloth sometimes a bunch of skin flakes come off. His eyebrows have crusty scabby looking peices on them and he had a crunchy scabby thing behind his ear and it smelled. He bathes every 2nd nite. He is 1 month old and exclusivly breastfed. Shows no sickness symptoms. Doesnt seem itchy. Forehead is shiny. What is this that covers my lil ones handsome lil face?

So sometimes in the house I randomly like to play with my dog. One of the things I like to do is start running and she'll chase after me. When she catches me, she licks me and shows no signs of aggression or anything. However during the chase she barks. My dog NEVER barks except when we play this game. She is by far attached most closely to me amongst the people in the household. Since she hardly ever barks I cant tell if this is an angry bark or just something dogs do when they play around.

the problem sounds like its with the mother. She says he never listens to her or stays in his room - this sounds like he has OPTIONS! If a punishment or penalty is being carried out, she must follow through with it whatever - the child must never get the notion that the parent's will can be over-ridden! She needs to lay down basic, straightforward rules such as no aggression, no spitting, no throwing etc. If he does so he must be warned and made to apologise. If he refuses or does it again he must be given 'time out' - a short set period of time in a place where he has no distractions: a place of contemplation of his misdemeanour! If he leaves the place he must be brought back to it until he finally accepts that he has to stay there. Maybe you could agree a set of rules with his mother and both agree the penalty, so he has the same system at home as with you. Once he realises there is no question of who's in charge, he should be more co-operative.

My American Bulldog puppy started showing aggression at 14 weeks, on walks he would just stop and sit when anyone passed him. Then it progressed to growling and eventually barking and growling at around 5 months. I started him in a puppy class and he is now down to only growling if a dog or person gets within 5 feet. We have established he is fear aggressive because he puts his ears back and tries to hide behind me while growling at the trainer. Now when we take walks he can pass people without sitting down and staring or growling and barking, but he tries to speed up and get away as soon as we pass them. So my question is, now that it is at least manageable, I am confident I can turn it around but I don't know what the next step is. I live in a small town so park, residential areas, downtown are basically barren of people. I walk him every day for an hour and I am surprised if I see 2 people in one walk. I think this contributed to his fear problems, but what do I do now? I have introduced him to everyone I know and he's fine with them, and I'm still scared if I ask a stranger to give him a treat he will bite. What now?

Zombies, ah the wonderful idea of smashing in the undead's skulls being the only way to kill the,. Well, the possibility of a zombie apocalypse is low, but not impossible. Think of the pollution happening in the world, and disorders and diseases in the modern world. Also think of the disaster in japan. All the radiation leaking, the poisons and the water which animals drink and we hunt or fish. If one is to happen, I have a strong feeling it will start there. Someone could eat a infected fish, not realize what they have and end up transferring the virus to someone else. The only problem is, wouldn't zombies be shot right away? So why wouldn't we kill the very first zombies before it spreads? I say if something happens like this, it would take possibly days to take effect, so maybe a fever or flu that spreads normally and whips people out later in the time period of it. But I'm not sure.

Apparently many college graduates can not find any jobs and therefore it seems as if they wasted a large sum of money on school. The fact that going to college is basically worthless because once you get out you'll either be unemployed or be making minimum wage, I hate to admit it but it is the truth. This generation of college students have a hard time to face. What jobs are in high demand with decent salaries that I can actually support myself with. Please dnt give me tht optimist bull crap about you should do wat makes you happy even if you get low pay(well this philosophy does not wrk out anymore because of the unemployment rate) Lets be real, I am a realist. We live in a horrible economy where the employment rate is high in our United States. Seriously, do I need to move to a different country(not canada, they have a high unemployment rate too) Or Do I major in Biology and accept a low paying job as a teacher with the possibility of getting laid off, or do I major in Business with the possibility of being assistant manager at McDOnalds? When i look at he state of the middle east and all its chaos, I can't understand why the US gov and Americans support Israel so much. Now a lot of people say its because they are our only democratic ally in the region, but i want a deeper and meaningful explanation than this. Personally i feel it has to do with religion and Americans being uninformed. Take a look back at the history of that area, the formation of Israel has to do with Zionism and British Mandate in which basically the Palestinians had their land stripped from them. Which seems to be some what colonial. The general worldly view of the Palestinians is very negative because of there lack of recognition and aggression towards Israel. However Israel kills several fold more Palestinians than Palestine to Israel. A lot of the world won't recognize Palestine as a country because if their refusal to recognize Israel right to exist. However I sympathize with the Palestinians because of the history of that region and its land being taken away. As an example its almost but not completely similar to the Native Americans and other indigenous people having there land stolen because of European Colonial and Expansionism; Lol and we justify their retaliatory actions. So, in soccer I've been told that I need to play more aggressively in order to take the ball. I always keep this thought in my mind during games and try to execute it, but still have problems doing so. I play all positions except for goalie.

Dog bite someone should I be worried about being sued?

My dog the other day bite a boy while my mother was walking him. I am going to go the the house of the boy and speak to the parents and offer to pay for any medical expenses. The dog was not at large i was not there at the time of incident so i don't know why the dog bite it did not growl or show signs of aggression? Should I expect a law suit to come from this?
