How durable is the HTC inspire? :)?

okay. im 15. and you know us teens, we get angry and mad and sometimes "drop" our phones, and other times we do drop them on accident, i was wondering how durable they are? im getting mine the 12th and this is also my first touch screen phone, but i have an ipod, but if they arent extremely durable what can i buy to make sure it wont break?
