Our 4 year old dog does not like our new puppy...Help!?

You do not state how long you have had the new puppy. Some dogs just take time to adjust. Dogs do not know equal. It is not in their genetic make up. One will be alpha over the other. Dont force it on the older dog to like the new pup. I would take a few walks a day with both of them. I think it will be fine over time but you need to let happen on their terms. In the mean time just stay with your normal routine that you have had. Dogs are creatures of habit.
